Archive Rewards Guide
Membership is free. The rewards are real.
Archive Rewards is the complimentary rewards program available to Archive Members, designed to recognise meaningful participation within The Whisky Archive community rather than simply rewarding purchases.
Joining Archive Membership is completely free. There are no membership fees, subscription charges or ongoing costs to participate.
Archive Members may earn Reward Points through eligible activities and may also receive Gift Vouchers for selected milestones, special occasions and promotional events, subject to the eligibility requirements outlined below.
Unless otherwise stated, all Reward Point values, Reward Voucher values, Gift Voucher values, earning rates, redemption thresholds, eligibility requirements, qualification criteria, Founding Member benefits, promotional multipliers, participation limits, Archive Challenges and other Archive Rewards program features are offered at the discretion of The Whisky Archive and may be introduced, modified, suspended or withdrawn at any time without prior notice.
Archive Rewards is intended to recognise genuine participation, responsible engagement and long-term membership within The Whisky Archive.
Joining Archive Membership
Customers may purchase from The Whisky Archive as a guest without joining Archive Membership.
Joining Archive Membership is entirely optional and completely free — there are no membership fees or ongoing subscription charges.
Archive Membership begins only when a customer chooses to sign in and create their Archive Profile.
The date an Archive Profile is created becomes the official Archive Membership commencement date for reward eligibility where applicable, including Founding Member eligibility where offered.
Welcome Reward
The Welcome Reward is granted once only after an Archive Member has completed their Archive Profile.
Creating a customer account, placing an order or browsing The Whisky Archive alone does not qualify for the Welcome Reward.
The Welcome Reward is limited to one reward per Archive Member and is not transferable between customer accounts.
Reward Points
Eligible Archive Members currently earn 1 Reward Point for every eligible $1 spent on qualifying purchases throughout the year. This forms the standard Archive Rewards earning rate.
Reward Points may also be earned through approved product reviews, newsletters, Archive Challenges and other promotional activities introduced by The Whisky Archive from time to time.
Reward Points may be converted into Reward Vouchers once the applicable redemption threshold has been reached. Currently, 1,000 Reward Points may be converted into a $10 Reward Voucher.
From time to time, The Whisky Archive may offer seasonal promotions, bonus campaigns or limited-time events where members can earn additional Reward Points or enhanced rewards on eligible purchases.
Reward earning rates, promotional multipliers, redemption thresholds, qualifying purchases and eligible activities may be revised by The Whisky Archive from time to time without prior notice unless otherwise stated.
Reward Points hold no cash value and may only be redeemed in accordance with the Archive Rewards program.
Review Rewards
Archive Members may earn Reward Points by submitting genuine product reviews that are approved by The Whisky Archive.
Current standard review rewards are:
- 100 Reward Points for an approved text review.
- 200 Reward Points for an approved review that includes photos.
- Archive Verified Purchase reviews earn 5× the standard Reward Points, currently up to 1,000 Reward Points for an approved photo review.
All review rewards remain subject to moderation and approval. Reviews considered duplicate, misleading, offensive, promotional, generated or assisted by artificial intelligence(AI) without accurately reflecting the reviewer's genuine personal experience, or otherwise determined by The Whisky Archive to be inconsistent with the purpose and standards of Archive Reviews may be declined, removed or become ineligible for Reward Points without notice.
The Whisky Archive reserves the right to revise Reward Point values, eligibility requirements and approval criteria for reviews in the future. Any changes will apply prospectively unless otherwise stated.
Archive Challenges
Archive Challenges are occasional member experiences that may award Reward Points, promotional rewards or other benefits when successfully completed.
Challenges are presented at the discretion of The Whisky Archive and may appear based on a variety of factors, including promotional campaigns, member activity, product releases, seasonal events or other Archive initiatives.
Challenge availability is not guaranteed for every member or every visit and may vary between individual members.
Each Challenge may have its own eligibility requirements, participation limits, difficulty level, scoring criteria, reward values and completion conditions.
Unless otherwise stated, Archive Challenges are intended to be completed once only and may not be repeatable after submission.
The Whisky Archive reserves the right to introduce, modify, suspend, retire or replace any Challenge, together with its eligibility requirements, reward values, participation limits and associated benefits, at any time without prior notice.
Gift Vouchers
Gift Vouchers may be awarded by The Whisky Archive for birthdays, anniversaries, collector milestones, promotional events, goodwill gestures and other qualifying occasions determined by The Whisky Archive.
Gift Voucher eligibility, reward values and qualifying criteria vary according to the individual promotion or reward pathway.
Unless otherwise stated, Archive-issued Gift Vouchers expire 30 days after issue and cannot be converted into Reward Points, redeemed for cash or exchanged for any other form of credit.
Unused or expired Gift Vouchers cannot be reinstated unless required by applicable law or at the reasonable discretion of The Whisky Archive.
Milestone Rewards
Collector Milestone Gift Vouchers recognise long-term participation within The Whisky Archive.
Customers who join Archive Membership on or before 31 December 2026 are currently recognised as Founding Members. Founding Members currently receive higher Milestone Gift Voucher values than Standard Members at the same spending milestones, currently up to 2× under the applicable milestone schedule.
Founding Member eligibility is determined by the Archive Membership commencement date. Milestone reward values, spending thresholds, qualifying dates and promotional multipliers are determined according to the Archive Rewards program rules in effect at the time eligibility is assessed.
The Whisky Archive reserves the right to revise milestone reward values, Founding Member qualification periods, promotional multipliers, spending thresholds and other eligibility requirements from time to time without prior notice.
Reward Vouchers
Reward Points currently do not expire and remain available until converted into a Reward Voucher.
Reward Points may be converted into Reward Vouchers once the applicable redemption threshold has been reached.
Reward Vouchers created from Reward Points expire 30 days after creation.
Until a Reward Voucher has been redeemed, it may be converted back into Reward Points at any time, unless otherwise stated for a particular promotion, voucher type or reward pathway. This allows members to preserve their Reward Point balance until they choose to redeem it.
Reward Vouchers may only be redeemed against eligible products. They cannot currently be used towards sale items, promotional items, gift cards, delivery charges, transit insurance or any other excluded items determined by The Whisky Archive.
Reward Voucher redemption is currently limited to a maximum of 5% of the eligible order value per order.
Reward Vouchers cannot be redeemed retrospectively against completed orders and may not be combined with other offers where exclusions apply.
Redemption thresholds, expiry periods, redemption limits, eligible products, conversion conditions and other Reward Voucher conditions may be revised by The Whisky Archive from time to time without prior notice.
Eligibility & Verification
The Whisky Archive may require verification of purchases, customer identity, account ownership and reward eligibility before granting, adjusting, converting or redeeming any reward.
Reward activity determined to be fraudulent, abusive, automated, duplicated, manipulated or otherwise inconsistent with the intended operation of the program may be declined, reversed, adjusted or removed without notice.
The Whisky Archive may refuse, delay or cancel a reward where the information required to verify eligibility cannot be reasonably confirmed.
Adjustments & Corrections
The Whisky Archive reserves the right to grant, reverse, correct or adjust Reward Points, Reward Vouchers or Gift Vouchers where an error, pricing error, cancellation, refund, duplicate transaction, technical issue or other exceptional circumstance has occurred.
Where purchases are refunded, cancelled or otherwise become ineligible, any associated Reward Points, vouchers, milestone progress or related benefits may be reduced, reversed or removed where applicable.
Corrections may be applied retrospectively where necessary to maintain the accurate and fair operation of Archive Rewards.
Program Changes
Archive Rewards is intended to evolve over time as The Whisky Archive continues to grow and develop.
Reward opportunities, eligibility requirements, qualifying activities, earning rates, Reward Point values, Reward Voucher values, Gift Voucher values, milestone schedules, promotional campaigns, participation limits, Archive Challenges and other program features may be introduced, modified, suspended or withdrawn from time to time.
The Whisky Archive may introduce new rewards, retire existing rewards, revise eligibility criteria, adjust redemption requirements or modify other aspects of Archive Rewards where operational, technical, commercial, legal or other business circumstances reasonably require.
Where reasonably practicable, The Whisky Archive will endeavour to communicate significant program changes. However, unless otherwise required by applicable law, The Whisky Archive is not obliged to provide advance notice of changes to Archive Rewards.
Membership Suspension
The Whisky Archive reserves the right to suspend or terminate Archive Membership or participation in Archive Rewards at any time where it reasonably considers these conditions have been breached, fraudulent, abusive or suspicious activity has occurred, verification requirements cannot be satisfied, or continued participation is otherwise inconsistent with the intended operation of the program.
Where Archive Membership or Archive Rewards participation is suspended or terminated, access to Reward Points, Reward Vouchers, Gift Vouchers, milestone progress, promotions and other member benefits may also be suspended, adjusted, cancelled or withdrawn, except where otherwise required by applicable law.
No Transfer or Assignment
Archive Membership, Reward Points, Reward Vouchers, Gift Vouchers and other promotional benefits are personal to the eligible Archive Member and may not be sold, transferred, assigned or otherwise exchanged unless expressly permitted by The Whisky Archive.
Errors & Omissions
The Whisky Archive reserves the right to correct any typographical, pricing, calculation, system or administrative error relating to Archive Membership or Archive Rewards. An obvious error does not create an obligation to provide a reward, voucher or benefit that was incorrectly displayed, calculated or issued.
General Conditions
Participation in Archive Membership and Archive Rewards constitutes acceptance of these program conditions together with any additional promotion-specific terms published by The Whisky Archive.
To the extent permitted by applicable law, The Whisky Archive reserves the right to interpret, administer, amend and make final decisions regarding Archive Membership, Archive Rewards, reward eligibility, promotions, verification, reward values, suspensions, adjustments and the operation of the program.
Reward Points, Reward Vouchers and Gift Vouchers are promotional benefits offered at the discretion of The Whisky Archive. They are not legal tender, cannot be redeemed for cash and do not constitute property or contractual rights except where required by applicable law.
Nothing within Archive Membership or Archive Rewards guarantees the continued availability of any particular reward, promotion, earning rate, redemption value, multiplier, qualification threshold or program feature unless expressly required by applicable law.
Nothing within Archive Membership or Archive Rewards creates a contractual entitlement to any future reward, promotion or benefit beyond those already granted in accordance with the program conditions applicable at the time.
If any part of these conditions is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining conditions will continue to apply.
These conditions are subject to applicable Australian law and any rights that cannot lawfully be excluded, restricted or modified.
