Released in 2020 to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the Ardbeg Committee, Blaaack is a distinctive limited edition from the Islay distillery. Matured in Pinot Noir casks sourced from New Zealand, an unusual first for Ardbeg, the release combines the distillery’s signature peat smoke with dark fruit, red berry character and oak spice. Bottled at 46% ABV and presented in its original illustrated box, it marks an important anniversary in Ardbeg’s modern history.

Tasting Notes

• Nose: Sweet plum and dark fruit meet vanilla, earthy peat smoke and a lightly oily character, with subtle aromatic spice developing underneath.
• Palate: Earthy and smoky with menthol, eucalyptus and oak, followed by cherry, dark fruit and peppery spice.
• Finish: Creamy and lingering, combining smoke, gentle salinity, oak and a faint suggestion of dark chocolate.

Blaaack was created to mark two decades of the Ardbeg Committee, the distillery’s global community established in 2000.
