Ailsa Bay Release 1.2 Sweet Smoke showcases the distillery's scientific approach to whisky making, balancing measured peat smoke with carefully controlled sweetness. Bottled in 2018 at 48.9% ABV as part of the Micro Maturation series, this release combines Hudson whiskey casks with virgin, first-fill and refill American oak maturation to create a distinctive modern Lowland single malt unlike traditional Scotch styles.

Tasting Notes

• Nose: Fresh cereal grains, golden syrup, gentle oak smoke, smoked bacon, caramelised apple and salted butter.
