About the Bottling
This Auld Goonsy release combines the individuality of a single-cask Auchroisk with the additional influence of a first-fill Amontillado sherry finish. The 12-month finishing period follows its initial American oak hogshead maturation, bringing a nuttier and drier style of sherry influence to the spirit. Bottled at 56.6% cask strength with only 284 bottles produced, it is a small-outturn independent release with clearly defined cask provenance.
About the Distillery
Auchroisk is a relatively young Speyside distillery and remains less commonly encountered as a standalone single malt than many of the region's better-known names. Much of its spirit has historically supported blends, making independently bottled single-cask expressions an appealing way to explore the distillery's character, particularly when presented at natural cask strength.
