About the Bottling
Released as part of Aultmore’s Foggie Moss range, the 18 Year Old provides a more mature interpretation of the distillery’s understated Speyside style. Its combination of bourbon and refill sherry cask maturation allows the distillate to remain prominent while adding layers of fruit, spice, and oak developed through extended ageing. Bottling at 46% ABV, natural colour, and without chill filtration further strengthens its enthusiast-focused presentation. The expression has also received significant competition recognition, including category wins at the World Whiskies Awards and Double Gold at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition.
About the Distillery
Founded in 1897 near Keith in Speyside, Aultmore has historically been highly regarded as a blending malt while maintaining a comparatively discreet presence as a single malt. Its association with the mist-covered Foggie Moss surrounding the distillery has become central to its modern identity. Mature official releases such as the 18 Year Old provide an opportunity to explore the character of a Speyside distillery whose whisky was, for much of its history, encountered more often within blends than as a standalone bottling.
