A Rare Highland Cadenhead's Release
Distilled at Fettercairn in 2007 and bottled by the renowned independent bottler Cadenhead’s for its Chairman’s Stock series in November 2024, this 17 year old release presents a distinctive interpretation of Highland whisky. Matured initially in oak before spending time in a rum barrel from 2019, it was bottled at a natural cask strength of 54.8% ABV with an extremely limited outturn of only 240 bottles.
Tasting Notes
- Nose: Tropical fruits, vanilla, caramelised sugar, toasted oak, gentle spice, and subtle exotic sweetness from the rum cask influence.
- Palate: Rich and oily with notes of ripe banana, honey, citrus, soft toffee, warming spice, and layered oak complexity.
- Finish: Long and warming with lingering sweetness, drying oak, peppery spice, and delicate tropical fruit notes.
