About the Distillery

Glengyle Distillery was revived by J & A Mitchell & Co. in the early 2000s, restoring whisky production to a historic Campbeltown site that had been silent for decades. Produced alongside Springbank in one of Scotland’s most respected whisky regions, Kilkerran has become widely admired for its traditional production methods, lightly smoky character, and distinctly old-style Campbeltown profile.

About the Bottling

Kilkerran 16 Year Old is considered a more mature and structured counterpart within the core Kilkerran range, offering additional depth and oak integration compared to younger releases. As demand for traditionally produced Campbeltown whisky continues to rise globally, older Kilkerran expressions have become increasingly difficult to source in consistent quantities.
