An Uncompromising Islay Single Cask

Distilled at Laphroaig in 2013 and bottled by acclaimed independent bottler The Whisky Jury, this 10 year old single cask release showcases one of Islay's most distinctive distilleries in its purest form. Matured in an ex-Bourbon barrel and bottled at a natural cask strength of 64.1% ABV, it delivers the powerful maritime, medicinal, and smoky character for which Laphroaig is celebrated worldwide.

Released as a single cask edition from Barrel No. 78 with an outturn of just 257 bottles, this expression offers a concentrated and highly collectible snapshot of modern Laphroaig matured entirely in American oak.

About the Distillery

Founded in 1815 on Islay's southern coast, Laphroaig remains one of Scotland's most distinctive single malt distilleries. Renowned for its medicinal peat smoke, maritime influence, and unmistakable character, it has developed a passionate following among collectors and enthusiasts worldwide.

Independent single cask bottlings of Laphroaig have become increasingly sought after as official releases continue to command strong global demand, particularly examples bottled at full cask strength without dilution.

About the Bottling

The Whisky Jury has built a strong reputation among enthusiasts for selecting characterful single casks bottled without chill filtration or added colouring. Their releases are often produced in very limited quantities and are known for presenting distillery character with minimal intervention.

This ex-Bourbon matured Laphroaig highlights the classic interplay between peat smoke, coastal influence, and American oak sweetness. With only 257 bottles produced, it represents a highly limited independent interpretation of one of Islay's most iconic distilleries.
