Longmorn-Glenlivet 1994 23 Year Old Rum Cask | Cadenhead's

A 23 Year Old Longmorn-Glenlivet with an Unusual Rum Cask Influence
Distilled at Longmorn-Glenlivet in 1994 and bottled by Cadenhead's in Spring 2018, this 23 year old Speyside single malt is an unusual independently bottled expression from one of the region's highly regarded distilleries. After its initial maturation in oak, the whisky was transferred to a Guadeloupe rum cask in October 2014, giving it more than three years of additional rum cask influence before bottling. Released at 52.6% ABV with only 222 bottles produced, it combines mature Speyside character with an uncommon tropical cask treatment.

About the Bottling
Cadenhead's is one of Scotland's historic independent bottlers, known for presenting whisky with minimal intervention and allowing individual casks to retain their distinctive character. This Longmorn-Glenlivet release stands apart through its extended period in a Guadeloupe rum cask from October 2014 until bottling in Spring 2018. With a 23 year age statement, 52.6% ABV and an outturn of only 222 bottles, it is an uncommon example of mature Longmorn shaped by an unconventional secondary cask.
About the Distillery
Longmorn, identified as Longmorn-Glenlivet on this Cadenhead's bottling, has long held a strong reputation among blenders and enthusiasts for its rich, fruit-forward Speyside spirit. Older independently bottled releases can offer a particularly revealing view of the distillery's character, especially when presented at higher strength and through distinctive cask selections such as this rum cask expression.
