Tasting Notes

About the Distillery

Established in 1971 beside Glenlossie near Elgin, Mannochmore remains one of Speyside's least familiar distilleries despite producing an elegant and characterful spirit. Almost all of its whisky is destined for Diageo's blended Scotch portfolio, leaving very little available as official single malt. That scarcity has made Mannochmore bottlings particularly attractive to collectors seeking distilleries rarely encountered on retail shelves.

The Flora & Fauna collection was created to showcase Diageo distilleries that seldom appear as official single malts. Mannochmore has always been one of the hardest expressions in the series to source, and the later Black Cap presentation continues one of the collection's most quietly desirable modern releases.
