A Traditional Campbeltown Local Barley Release
The 2021 Release of Springbank 10 Year Old Local Barley celebrates traditional whisky-making and true regional provenance. Distilled in May 2010 using Belgravia barley grown at Glencraigs Farm on the Kintyre Peninsula, this release was matured and bottled entirely on-site at Springbank’s family owned distillery in western Scotland. Bottled at 51.6% ABV without chill filtration or added colouring, it captures the oily, coastal, and deeply characterful style that has made Springbank one of the whisky world’s most sought-after distilleries.

About the Distillery
Springbank remains one of the whisky world’s most respected traditional distilleries, producing whisky entirely on-site in Campbeltown using historic methods rarely preserved elsewhere in Scotland. Produced at the family owned distillery on the Kintyre Peninsula in western Scotland, Springbank releases have achieved cult status among collectors and enthusiasts globally. Limited production, floor malting, and a highly individual house style have elevated Springbank releases to some of the most sought-after modern Scotch whiskies.
About the Bottling
The Local Barley series has become one of Springbank’s most collectible modern releases, celebrated for reconnecting whisky production to the agricultural identity of Campbeltown and the surrounding Kintyre region. Produced using locally grown barley and fully traditional methods, these annual releases remain highly allocated and increasingly difficult to source in secondary markets.
