A Limited Island Vintage from Tobermory
Distilled at Tobermory in 2013 and bottled in 2021 under the Scalasaig label, Island Hopper is the inaugural release in the Single Distillery Vintage series. Four sister casks were brought together before receiving an extended finish in Oloroso sherry hogsheads, resulting in a maritime island malt that balances orchard fruit, gentle spice and coastal character. About the Distillery
Established in 1798, Tobermory is one of Scotland's oldest licensed distilleries and the only distillery on the Isle of Mull. Producing both the unpeated Tobermory and heavily peated Ledaig styles, it has become highly regarded for distinctive island whiskies that combine maritime freshness with impressive maturation potential.
About the Bottling
Island Hopper marked the debut release in Scalasaig's Single Distillery Vintage series, created to showcase exceptional island distilleries through carefully selected parcels of whisky. This edition combines four casks distilled in 2013 before an extended finish in Oloroso sherry hogsheads, enhancing the whisky with additional richness while preserving Tobermory's bright coastal spirit. Limited to just 1,490 bottles, it represents one of the earliest and most collectible releases from the Island Hopper series.
