A Rare Sherried Speyside Single Cask

Distilled at Linkwood on 17 January 2011 and bottled in November 2024 by Global Whisky for its Auld Goonsy series, this 13 year old single cask release offers a bold and characterful expression of one of Speyside's most respected distilleries. Matured initially in an American oak hogshead before a 12-month finishing period in a first-fill Pedro Ximénez sherry cask, it was bottled at a natural cask strength of 55.3% ABV with an outturn of just 290 bottles.

Tasting Notes

• Nose: Sweet malted barley, baked apple, apricot, hard candy, dark fruits, and warming PX sherry richness.
• Palate: Peppery and earthy with notes of orange peel, dark cherries, rich chocolate, spiced oak, and concentrated dried fruit sweetness.
• Finish: Long and warming with lingering dark chocolate, plum tart, gentle spice, and mature oak influence.
