Springbank 2007 9 Year Old Fresh Sauternes Hogshead | Springbank
Archive Details
A Society-Exclusive Campbeltown Release
Distilled at Springbank in November 2007 and bottled in May 2017 exclusively for Springbank Society members, this 9 year old release was selected by General Manager Findlay Ross and matured in fresh Sauternes hogsheads. Bottled at a natural cask strength of 57.1% ABV with an outturn of just 1,128 bottles, it represents a distinctive and increasingly difficult-to-source official Springbank bottling from one of the distillery's most sought-after member-exclusive releases.

About the Distillery
Springbank remains one of Scotland's most revered and collectible distilleries, renowned for carrying out every stage of production entirely on-site in Campbeltown. Producing whisky in relatively small quantities using traditional methods, Springbank has become one of the most sought-after names in Scotch whisky. Demand consistently exceeds supply, making special releases and society bottlings increasingly difficult to acquire.
About the Bottling
Selected exclusively for members of the Springbank Society, this release reflects a period when the distillery offered highly limited bottlings directly to its most dedicated supporters. The use of fresh Sauternes hogsheads adds an additional layer of collector appeal, combining Springbank's distinctive maritime spirit with the rich sweetness and complexity associated with prestigious French dessert wine casks. Official society releases from this era have become increasingly scarce on the secondary market.
